Falsterbo measurements January-February 2016

This is the preview of the results of the measurements of the Falsterbo campaign January-February 2016, and some nice pictures from the measurements.

Not many ship plumes carry high emissions of soot particles according to the black graph, which is good news, only a few (see the selected ship enhanced concentration indicated with a cross) (organic aerosol particles denoted with green line).

Still a lot of ships emitting quite high mass concentrations of sulphate particles (red line) despite new sulphur regulation in the Sulphur emission control areas - SECA) recorded on February 3, 2016. But, not all ships emit a lot of sulphate when considering we have many ship plumes with high particle number concentration (purple line) which are not seen as high sulphate concentrations at the same time...

Oh how many ship plumes! January 27, 2016.

Venue

Conference Venue 1 Department of Chemistry (KC)
At the start of the symposium until the afternoon coffee we are at the Chemistry Department, lecture hall B.
In the link below you can find the way to the Chemistry Department. You should enter from the Getingevägen side of the building:
Conference Venue 2 Department of Design Sciences (IKDC)
After the afternoon coffee, we proceed further to the Design Science Department just across the Sölvegatan street (marked IKDC). There we have the lab tours, internal meetings, and the dinner.
Bus ticket information
Instructions on how to get to the Chemistry Department with bus from Lund central train station: By bus

Both Green (city) and yellow (commuter) buses will take you to the venue (see link above).

If you take one of the yellow bus lines, you can pay with your credit card.

If you take one of the green bus lines, you have to buy a JOJO card at the train station first, or pay with SMS provided you have a Swedish cellular phone operator. Here is how to pay with SMS:

1. Write a text message with the first two letters of the city you are travelling in, followed by V for adult, B for child or D for Duo/Family. For example: An adult ticket for Helsingborg is HEV.
2. Send your text message to 72 040 before boarding.
3. You will receive an SMS confirmation. This is your ticket. Show it to the bus driver or the ticket inspector.

You can't buy a ticket if you have a foreign subscription or if your cell phone is closed for paying services.
